If Calhoun City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Bruce, they should've done a better job of containing Laken Corbit. The Bruce Trojans had just enough and edged the Calhoun City Wildcats out 33-30 thanks in part to Corbit, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last ten games she's played.

Another player making a difference was A'Toria Knox, who had 12 points and five boards. That makes it eight consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bruce's points.

The win snapped Bruce's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-10 record. As for Calhoun City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-12.

Bruce and Ingomar will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Ingomar will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Bruce surely won't give up without a fight. Calhoun City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
