On Friday, Pleasant Grove faced Lone Peak in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Pleasant Grove Vikings fell to the Lone Peak Knights 81-75. One positive for the Vikings, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Pleasant Grove still got an impressive performance from Brennan Blackett, who went 7 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Brown, who posted 12 points.

Pleasant Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lone Peak, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Pleasant Grove will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against American Fork at 7:30 p.m. As for Lone Peak, they will head out to square off against Skyridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Lone Peak's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
