Recap: Spearfish Spartans vs. Custer Wildcats
Even though the Custer Wildcats scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the Spearfish Spartans still came out on top. Spearfish walked away with a 63-56 victory over Custer. With that win, Spearfish brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Spearfish's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Seth Hamilton led the charge by scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Kamren Davis was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The victory made it two in a row for Spearfish and bumps their season record up to 8-7. As for Custer, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.
Spearfish will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Rapid City Christian at 7:30 p.m. Rapid City Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 games -- so hopefully Spearfish likes a good challenge. As for Custer, they will head out on the road to square off against Lead-Deadwood at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
