Baseball Recap: Skyview Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

SkyView Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Flatirons Academy Bison by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 10-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Logen Meyers was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meyers wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Luke Ballain, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

SkyView Academy's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. As for Flatirons Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

SkyView Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 26-2 victory against Denver Academy on the 30th. As for Flatirons Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Rocky Mountain Lutheran on the 2nd.
