Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Victory Christian Academy Knights

The Olympian Eagles will be playing at home against the Victory Christian Academy Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 matches -- so hopefully the Knights likes a good challenge.

Olympian stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Mar Vista 80-42 at home. Given Olympian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Mariners are ranked 714th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olympian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Walker, who scored 11 points along with seven steals and five assists. Sammell Humphries was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy waltzed into their match on Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They strolled past Eastlake with points to spare, taking the game 69-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Olympian pushed their record up to 21-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Victory Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Olympian couldn't quite finish off the Knights in their previous matchup on Friday and fell 66-63. Will Olympian have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
