Volleyball Recap: Bergman Comes Up Short

If Bergman was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Melbourne on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Hollister Tigers on Saturday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Bergman ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17.

Bergman's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Hollister, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hollister beat Bergman by a score of 2-0 later that day.
