Baseball Recap: Homestead Comes Up Short

Homestead was the 14-4 winner over Gunn when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Homestead fell just short of Gunn by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Andrew Sun made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Gunn, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

While Homestead had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
