Basketball Recap: Chartiers-Houston Comes Up Short

Chartiers-Houston and Northgate squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Chartiers-Houston had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Northgate Flames. The Buccaneers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Chartiers-Houston's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justus Buckingham, who went 9-for-15 to rack up 22 points. The dominant performance gave Buckingham a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jake Perchinsky, who posted seven points along with five boards and three steals.

Chartiers-Houston's defeat dropped their record down to 20-6. As for Northgate, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Chartiers-Houston nor Northgate have any future games scheduled.
