Volleyball Recap: Rushville's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Rushville lost against East Central back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Trojans. The loss put an end to the Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-7, 25-9.

KELSEY MORGAN paced Rushville's offense, picking up three kills. MORGAN got some help from LACEY CHASE and her eight assists. MAKENNA RIPBERGER controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Rushville fell to 4-1. As for East Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rushville is set to take on their familiar foe South Dearborn at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Central will face off against rival Batesville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
