Baseball Recap: Volcano Vista Falls Short Against Ranked Cleveland

Volcano Vista faced Cleveland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Hawks fell just short of the Storm by a score of 8-7. The Hawks have struggled against the Storm recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Bradyn Mazuranich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Gutierrez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Volcano Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Cleveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
