Basketball Recap: Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves vs. Highlands Christian Knights
The Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 62-54 victory over Highlands Christian. For Oxbridge Academy, this counts as revenge for the 51-49 defeat the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Oxbridge Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden St. Fort, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. James Deyoung was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Oxbridge Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-16. As for Highlands Christian, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oxbridge Academy will take on the Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Spanish River will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Highlands Christian, they will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
