Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Chico

Chico proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Foothill Cougars 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Chico was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 21-25, 24-26, 25-16, 15-6.

Chico's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Foothill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Chico Panthers duke it out with Oroville Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Foothill and Las Plumas will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Foothill is facing Las Plumas at the right time seeing as Las Plumas is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
