Basketball Recap: Burgin Comes Up Short

Burgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eminence Warriors. The Bulldogs lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 71-42 score last time.

Burgin's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Eminence, their win bumped their record up to 13-11.

Coming up, Burgin will host Casey County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eminence, they will challenge St. Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Eminence is facing St. Henry at the right time seeing as St. Henry is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
