Baseball Recap: Ottoville Comes Up Short

Ottoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 24-1 to the Miller City Wildcats. If the Big Green were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ottoville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Saxton, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was Saxton's first of the season.

Ottoville's record now sits at 2-10. As for Miller City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

Coming up, Ottoville will be playing at home against Wayne Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Big Green's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Miller City, they will head out to take on Marion Local at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
