Basketball Recap: Mountain House Snags Ninth Victory in Last Ten Games

If Oakdale wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mountain House, they should've done a better job of containing Jordan Williams. Mountain House managed a 47-41 victory over Oakdale on Friday thanks to Williams, who posted 11 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

Mountain House has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points over those games. As for Oakdale, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Coming up, Mountain House will venture away from home to challenge Vanden at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Vanden has won eight straight at home, while Mountain House won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Oakdale, they and Los Banos will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Los Banos knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Oakdale likes a good challenge.
