Basketball Game Preview: Anthony Wayne Generals vs. Start Spartans

The Anthony Wayne Generals will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Start Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Start took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Anthony Wayne, who comes in off a win.

Anthony Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 78-25 victory over Bowling Green. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Bobcats are ranked 564th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Start suffered their biggest defeat since February 23rd on Friday. They came up short against Newark, falling 60-36. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Start's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Anthony Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.
