Basketball Game Preview: Trivium Prep Crimson Knights vs. Arete Prep CHARGERS

The Trivium Prep Crimson Knights will head out on the road to take on the Arete Prep CHARGERS at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trivium Prep took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 53-51 win over Odyssey Institute. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Crimson Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Arete Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Santa Cruz Valley on Friday, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win.

Trivium Prep's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Arete Prep, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Everything went Trivium Prep's way against Arete Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2015, as Trivium Prep made off with a 67-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trivium Prep since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
