Hoonah posted their closest win since October 11, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Craig Panthers 2-1. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Hoonah had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-20.

The win got Hoonah back to even at 1-1. As for Craig, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coincidentally, Hoonah and Craig will both be playing Wrangell the next time they take the court. The Panthers will head out to face the Wolves at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
