Volleyball Game Preview: North Branch Broncos vs. Lake Fenton Blue Devils

North Branch has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lake Fenton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Broncos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blue Devils at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Branch comes in on four and Lake Fenton on three.

North Branch is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Imlay City, who was ranked 25th at the time (North Branch was ranked 19th). The Broncos blew past the Spartans 3-0 on Saturday.

North Branch's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Haley Henry, who had 18 digs and two aces, and Kylie Doherty, who had 31 assists and six digs. Doherty has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Franklin, who had nine digs and five assists.

Meanwhile, Lake Fenton beat Marlette 2-0 on Wednesday.

North Branch's victory bumped their record up to 32-11. As for Lake Fenton, their win bumped their record up to 21-14.

North Branch skirted past Lake Fenton 2-1 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Do the Broncos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Blue Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
