On Thursday Christian Heritage Academy's undefeated season almost came to an end. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Roanoke Catholic Celtics. 12 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Jake Bowles was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Will Gray, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Christian Heritage Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Roanoke Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage Academy will take on Grace Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roanoke Catholic, they will square off against Fleming at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
