After losing to Karnes City the last time they met, Luling decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Badgers on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

Ahriyana Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits.

On the hitting side, Serenity Nunez was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Nedeyin Magallanez also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.

The victory got Luling back to even at 12-12. As for Karnes City, they dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
