Basketball Recap: Buckfield's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Five

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Buckfield had no problem doing just that on Monday. They walked away with a 52-41 win over the Pine Tree Academy Breakers. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 78-56 win back in January.

The victory (which was Buckfield's fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Pine Tree Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, Buckfield will take on Valley at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games. Pine Tree Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
