Soccer Game Preview: Kouts vs. Rensselaer Central

The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will face off against the Rensselaer Central Bombers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kouts is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Kouts took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Wheeler, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs & Fillies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bearcats on Thursday. Brooklynn Bobin had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Kouts.

Meanwhile, Rensselaer Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to Lafayette Central Catholic.

Kouts is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Rensselaer Central, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Kouts suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Rensselaer Central in their previous matchup back in October of 2020. Can the Mustangs & Fillies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
