Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Green River). They breezed by the Monument Valley Cougars to the tune of 114-29 on Saturday. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 29 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jason Hernandez, who went 10 for 22 on his way to 29 points along with eight assists and five steals. Those five steals gave Hernandez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rolando Anguiano, who went 10 of 15 en route to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists.

Green River smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Monument Valley's loss came despite strong showings from Josiah Gipe and Akecheta Shortman. Gipe posted ten points, while Shortman scored three points.

Green River's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.2 points. As for Monument Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Green River has already played their next game, a 69-45 victory against Monticello on the 28th. As for Monument Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 89-50 defeat against Escalante on the 31st.
