After a string of eight wins, Henry County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the West Creek Coyote who were credited with the win. The West Creek Coyote got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Henry County Patriots' two. Jacob Davis is probably feeling rather frustrated with he team right now: they lost despite he posting four goals.

Henry County used a slightly different lineup for their bout with West Creek. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Aaron Gonzalez (95), Eliseo Huitzatche (40), and Cash Myrick (95). The trio had averaged 64.9, 17.2, and 71.3 minutes respectively before Thursday's game. Myrick made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Henry County's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 13-4. As for West Creek, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5-2.

Coming up, Henry County will head out to take on Rossview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
