Foothill is 8-2 against Amador Valley since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Foothill Falcons will square off against the Amador Valley Dons at 7:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Foothill and five for Amador Valley.

Last Tuesday, Foothill was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-55 to California. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Amador Valley came up short against Dougherty Valley on Tuesday and fell 58-50.

Amador Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Foothill, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Foothill skirted past Amador Valley 63-61 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Foothill since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
