Volleyball Recap: Noah Mecagni and Jacob Feller Secure Win for Riverside-Durham

There's no place like home for Riverside-Durham, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Chapel Hill Tigers on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Tigers back in March, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

While Riverside-Durham might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Chapel Hill scored at least 12 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-19, 17-25, 15-12.

Leading Riverside-Durham to victory were Jacob Feller and Noah Mecagni. Feller had seven digs and three aces, while Mecagni had seven digs and one block. Feller is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 20 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Riverside-Durham has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-1.
