Basketball Recap: Brushton-Moira Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Massena, Brushton-Moira was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Colton-Pierrepont Colts by a score of 42-35. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Colts back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-43 loss.

Colton-Pierrepont lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cody Trimm, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points and six boards. Trimm is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Matthew Schwartfigure was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Brushton-Moira pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Brushton-Moira wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 48-39 defeat against St. Lawrence Central on the 25th. As for Colton-Pierrepont, they will host Chateaugay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
