Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sanger West). They blew past the Edison Tigers 14-2 on Friday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 7-0 win on Tuesday.

Jorge Mariscal was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was David Melero, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Sanger West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Sanger West and bumps their season record up to 5-17. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Edison, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15-1.

Sanger West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 loss against Sanger on the 6th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-1 defeat against Justin Garza on the 6th.
