The Omaha Christian Academy Eagles will face off against the Boys Town Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Omaha Christian Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Brownell Talbot on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Omaha Christian Academy was beaten by Brownell Talbot 54-24. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-11.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Megan Johnston, who posted two points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridget Townsend, who put up six points.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boys Town). They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Heartland Christian on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cowboys as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Omaha Christian Academy better keep an eye on Ava Levering. She was instrumental in Boys Town's win, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards. Levering has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Lily Perrett was another key player, putting up seven points and four steals.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Omaha Christian Academy has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 33.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Boys Town struggles in that department as they've been averaging 36.5 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Omaha Christian Academy lost to Boys Town at home by a decisive 36-19 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Levering, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards.
