Preview: O'Neal Falcons vs. Trinity Christian Crusaders
The O'Neal Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Trinity Christian Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: O'Neal has struggled recently with 30 defeats in a row, while Trinity Christian will arrive with four straight wins.
O'Neal suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by South Wake 80-23. While losing is never fun, O'Neal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 587th, while South Wake is ranked 155th).
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Freedom Christian Academy with a sharp 88-65 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Trinity Christian has posted since December 20, 2023.
O'Neal's loss was their 16th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
O'Neal took a serious blow against Trinity Christian in their previous matchup last Wednesday, falling 86-30. Can O'Neal avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
