Softball Recap: St. Anthony Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for St. Anthony's offense. They came up short against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg on Thursday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

St. Anthony's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-7. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, St. Anthony will square off against Dieterich at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, they will face off against Champaign Central at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg will need to watch out since the Maroons have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
