Mize and Raleigh are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Mize Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raleigh Lions  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
Mize is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. They blew past Taylorsville 26-4 on Monday. The  win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Tartars: they've now won eight in a row.
The team  relied heavily on  AK Easterling, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in February of 2024.  Kate Sullivan was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing  Two bases. while going 2-for-3.
 Mize  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  struck out at most four  strikeouts in three consecutive  matches.
Meanwhile, Raleigh can  bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They never let Taylorsville get on the board and left with  a   19-0  victory. The  contest marked the Lions' most dominant  win of the  season.
 Kallee McWilliams was a major factor no matter where she played. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. McWilliams was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-1.
 In other batting news,  Haylee Buffington was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and two  stolen bases. She has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Mallory Plunk, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Mize's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Raleigh, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.
 Mize took their  victory against Raleigh  when the teams last played  back in February by a conclusive  10-0. Will Mize repeat their success,  or does  Raleigh have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
