Softball Recap: Dysart Takes a Loss

Dysart came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons, falling 18-8.

Mya Sias was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Juliana Bustraan was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Dysart dropped their record down to 2-15 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Carl Hayden Community, they moved to 6-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dysart will square off against Coronado at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Demons are facing the Dons at the right time seeing as the Dons are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Carl Hayden Community, they will face off against Youngker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Roughriders have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
