St. Anthony had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Hamer 77-31 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Friars sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.

St. Anthony's was led to victory by Kevin Moore and Kahmel Wilmot. Moore went 6-for-9 to rack up 15 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Wilmot shot 71% from the field en route to 15 points and three steals. Those 15 points gave Wilmot a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidyn Bynoe, who posted 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Hamer and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Anthony's will host East Meadow at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamer, they will welcome Morris at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
