Softball Recap: Oak Park Comes Up Short

Oak Park fell victim to Camarillo and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Scorpions, falling 11-0. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Scorpions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Oak Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kirthi Paramasivan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Paramasivan is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Oak Park has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Camarillo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.

Coincidentally, Oak Park and Camarillo will both be playing Royal the next time they take the field. The Scorpions will head out to face the Highlanders at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on the 22nd.
