Baseball Recap: Flagstaff Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Flagstaff had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots by a score of 7-4 on Saturday.

Connor Iniguez made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Iniguez wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jace Adams, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Flagstaff was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ALA - Queen Creek only posted a batting average of .250.

Flagstaff's record now sits at 14-8. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flagstaff will head out to take on Prescott at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they will venture away from home to challenge Poston Butte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
