Basketball Recap: Grand Lake Christian Takes a Loss

Grand Lake Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bowling Green Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 42-41 loss back in January.

Bowling Green Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justus Lommel, who posted 13 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lommel a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Hammack, who put up ten points along with seven boards and five assists.

Grand Lake Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Bowling Green Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-10.

Grand Lake Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bowling Green Christian Academy, they will square off against Gilead Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
