Volleyball Recap: Islands Beats West Laurens for Their Third Straight Win

Islands had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the West Laurens Raiders. The Sharks were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Raiders, so the Sharks were just returning the favor.

While Islands won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17.

Islands now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West Laurens, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Islands is taking a road trip to square off against New Hampstead at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sharks are facing the Phoenix at the right time seeing as the Phoenix are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for West Laurens, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Veterans at 6:30 p.m.
