Volleyball Recap: Woodlawn Takes a Loss

Woodlawn entered their contest against West Mecklenburg on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Trailblazers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Woodlawn was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Woodlawn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for West Mecklenburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodlawn will host North Mecklenburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Mecklenburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Langtree Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. The Hawks are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
