Sheridan Hills Christian extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Shariah Deus. The Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks enjoyed a cozy 38-19 win over the FAU High Owls on Thursday thanks in part to Deus, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Szade Mendez, who posted four points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks.

Sheridan Hills Christian pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for FAU High, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Sheridan Hills Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on FAU High at 4:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. FAU High and Inlet Grove will compete for holiday cheer at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
