Basketball Recap: Lewiston Comes Up Short

Lewiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-9 loss at the hands of the Johnson-Brock Eagles. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Lewiston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Justice Currie posted eight points.

It was another big night for Taryn Ottemann, who went 7 of 8 on her way to 15 points and six boards for Johnson-Brock. Daley Pelican was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 10 points and five steals.

Lewiston's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Johnson-Brock, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Lewiston didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-19 defeat against Lourdes Central Catholic on the 23rd. As for Johnson-Brock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-22 win against Exeter-Milligan/Friend on the 24th.
