Basketball Recap: Santiago Victorious

Santiago proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 36) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 74-71 victory from a begrudging Sharks squad. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since November 20th.

Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Gabe Eddins, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 29 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Knudson, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Santiago's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Centennial, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Santiago has already played their next contest, a 53-50 win against George Washington on the 19th. As for Centennial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 74-70 defeat against Branson on the 19th.
