Baseball Recap: John Bapst Memorial Comes Up Short

John Bapst Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Ellsworth Eagles. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

John Bapst Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ellsworth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, John Bapst Memorial will head out on the road to face off against Mount Desert Island at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ellsworth, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bangor at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.5, the Rams 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
