Basketball Game Preview: Pickens Blue Flame vs. Daniel Lions

Pickens is 0-10 against Daniel since January of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Pickens Blue Flame will head out on the road to challenge the Daniel Lions at 7:30 p.m.

Pickens is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Friday. The game between them and Travelers Rest didn't end well, with Pickens falling 61-47.

Meanwhile, in a tight contest that could have gone either way, Daniel made off with a 50-49 victory over Berea.

Daniel's win came from a few key players Pickens will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tristyn Carrington, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave him a new career-high. Jackson Conley was another key player, putting up 13 points and five boards.

Daniel has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for Pickens, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

Pickens might still be hurting after the 61-39 loss they got from Daniel in their previous matchup last Thursday. Can Pickens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
