Everything went their way against the Grants Pirates on Tuesday as the Belen Eagles made off with a 6-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.
They hit Grants with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Jaret Fernandez (3),
Israel Mendoza,
Julian Jurado, and
Caleb Villella.
Belen moved to 6-12-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Grants, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Belen will square off against Valencia at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grants does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
