Preview: ESAT Grizzlies vs. University Prep Value Wolves
ESAT is 2-8 against University Prep Value since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The ESAT Grizzlies will head out on the road to face off against the University Prep Value Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though ESAT has not done well against CALS Early College recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. ESAT came out on top against CALS Early College by a score of 70-58. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for ESAT considering their two-point performance the contest before.
Among those leading the charge was Niel Gabriel Sanchez, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Michael Molina, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, University Prep Value entered their tilt with Collins Family with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. University Prep Value walked away with a 61-50 victory over Collins Family on Thursday.
The victory makes it two in a row for ESAT and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for University Prep Value, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
ESAT was dealt a bruising 84-54 loss at the hands of University Prep Value in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can ESAT avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
