Marie Philip had lost six straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Kai Gabriel didn't let it get to seven. The Galloping Ghosts enjoyed a cozy 16-2 victory over Newman on Tuesday for which the team can thank Gabriel, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. Gabriel is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Marie Philip's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Newman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Marie Philip wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 32-7 defeat against Commonwealth on the 17th. As for Newman, they will head out on the road to square off against Noble & Greenough at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
