Volleyball Recap: Tough Loss for Rough Rock

The Rough Rock Sun Devils came up short against the St. Michael Cardinals on Monday, falling 3-0. The Sun Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 25-13, 25-6, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Michael to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhyley Meyers, who had 15 assists and three aces. Another player making a difference was Alana Yazzie, who had five kills, three digs, and two aces.

Rough Rock has now lost 13 of their last 14 games at home. That's part of the reason why they have a 3-11 record this season. St. Michael (19-8) has been on a roll lately: they've now won 14 of their last 15 matches.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rough Rock will play host again on Tuesday to welcome Rock Point, where the match is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. As for St. Michael, they will welcome Greyhills Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
