Volleyball Recap: Hollywood Takes a Loss

Hollywood lost against Mendez back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Sheiks came up short against the Jaguars, falling 3-0. The Sheiks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Hollywood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-22.

Luna Rubio was nothing short of spectacular for Mendez: she had 26 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Rubio has posted over her last six matchups.

Hollywood's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Mendez, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Looking ahead, Hollywood will head out to take on Roybal at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mendez, they will be taking part in a tournament against Canoga Park at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
